ROADMAP TRAFFIC REPORT
It is Friday. Do you know where your Roadmap96 lessons are?
As promised, here is a list of every Roadmap96 lesson that I have sent out
so far. For now, just pay attention to the first and third columns on this
list (the "filename" and "description" columns). I'll explain that middle
column ("filetype") in a minute.
WEEK 1
filename filetype description
------ ------- -----------
MAP01 FILE WELCOME
MAP02 FILE LISTSERV FILE SERVER COMMANDS
WEEK 2
filename filetype description
------ ------- -----------
MAP03 FILE LEVELS OF INTERNET CONNECTIVITY
MAP04 FILE E-MAIL
MAP05 FILE LISTSERVS
MAP06 FILE OTHER MAIL SERVERS
MAP07 FILE NETIQUETTE
What should you do if you are missing one of the lessons listed above?
Just send an e-mail letter to
[log in to unmask]
with the command
GET filename filetype F=MAIL
in the body of your e-mail letter, replacing "filename" and "filetype" with
the filename and the filetype of the lesson that you are missing. The
"filename" for each lesson can be found in the first column of the list
above, and the "filetype" can be found in the second column.
So if you are missing MAP07, just send an e-mail letter to
[log in to unmask]
with the command
GET MAP07 FILE F=MAIL
in the body of your e-mail letter. The LISTSERV file server at the
InterNIC will read your letter and reply by sending you the lesson that you
requested. It is that simple! :)
By the way, I haven't sent these out yet, but here are the lessons that we
