Hello everyone,

I would like to pose a question to the list of list owners as to the
legality of copyrightable material which is posted to lists.

I am an owner of a mailing list with approxiamately 80 subscribers and I
am charging each subscriber a fee to be on my list. I am in a trade a type of
service. The list has been very well recieved throughout the industry in
which I am in and various trade publications have been printing articles
about this new online service and have been quoting word for word various
emails that have been coming across my list. They have not been mentioning
Where these messages have been coming from only from the internet.
My question to the list owners before I approach these different
publications is this:

1. Should they be getting my permission to print these article from me or the
author who writes them or both?
2. Shouldnt they give the list some sort of credit or acknowlegment of where
these articles have come from which is more specific to my list.
3. Can I secure the name of my list legally somehow so no one else can use
it.
4. Is there any other advice you could give me concerning these type of
things that I may have not mentioned that I should be doing.

Thank you and please respond directly to me I am not a subscriber to this
list at this time.
