The syntax is:
 
MAIL QUIET DEL listname *@*
 
Be absolutely sure you want to do that before doing so.
 
The MAIL prefix will make sure that if one were to issue
the command via bitnet messaging (TELL or $SEND), that
your console would not be overrun with interactive LISTSERV
responses.  Furthermore, it ensures that you have an e-mail
record of your resultant action.
 
You can add the optional operand '(TEST' (minus the quotes)
to "test drive before your buy"
