Hi,
I'm receiving the attached error report for a list I recently created
(Dec-Internal) when I receive error reports from another list on a different
server (Returned mail Re: Server-talk). My i-tech person says there's
nothing wrong w/ the way the mail is being delivered. He thinks listserv
is not processing it correctly. I've deleted and re-created dec-internal and
the errors still happen which makes me think it is something w/ one of the
mail servers. Has anyone seen this happening from a listserv side of
things? Dec-internal_header.txt attached also.
Thanks,
Alana

; [LBB] : Load Balance Broker properties.
; This section defines the properties that are used to configure the =
LBB.
; =
************************************************************************=
*****
;
[LBB]
; autoStartDAL indicates if the LBB will try to start the Dynamic =
Application
; Launcher (DAL) on a remote machine if the LBB has tried to contact =
the DAL
; and the DAL is not responding. A value of true means that the LBB =
will try
; to start the DAL. A value of false means the LBB will not try to =
start the
; DAL.
; The default is true.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;autoStartDAL=3Dfalse
; cannotContact indicates the html page and error code that will be =
sent to=20
; the client when the LBB tries to contact an application server =
several=20
; times and does not get a response from the application server. This =
error
; indicates that the request was not processed. The default value is=20
; Bluestone's generic error message. Note for all LBBs that this =
property
; may only be set by placing it in SaLBB.ini.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;cannotContact=3Dd:\sapphire\errors\cannotContact.html, 500
; clientPage indicates the html page and error code that will be sent =
to the
; client if the LBB encounters an error while trying to interpret the =
client's
; reqeust. This can occur if the client sends bad HTTP headers or HTTP
; headers that the LBB does not support. The default value is =
Bluestone's
; generic error message. Note for all LBBs that this property may only =
be set
; by placing it in SaLBB.ini.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;clientPage=3Dd:\sapphire\errors\client.html, 500
; connectTimeout indicates the number of seconds the LBB will wait =
before it
; stops trying to communicate with either the DAL or the UBS. The =
default
; value is zero seconds: that is, the timeout will take place according =
to
; the waiting time set by the operating system. (for NT systems this =
timeout
; will occur after about three minutes.) Note that this only works on =
NT.
; LBBs : IIS, Netscape
;connectTimeout=3D10
; debugPage indicates the html page and error code that will be sent to =
the
; client if the LBB receives a URL that causes a debug action to occur.
; Note that as of version 7.1 Bluestone does not ship the debug version =
of
; LBBs to customers so this error should never occur at a customer's =
site.
; The default value is Bluestone's generic error message. Note for all =
LBBs
; that this property may only be set by placing it in SaLBB.ini.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;debugPage=3Dd:\sapphire\errors\debug.html, 200
; defaultError indicates the html page and error code that will be sent =
to
; the client if for all errors not covered by other error pages =
specified in
; the LBB properties. Some example errors that can cause this error =
include
; configuration problems that would prevent any requests from getting=20
; processed. The default value is Bluestone's generic error message.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;defaultError=3Dd:\sapphire\errors\cdefault.html, 400
; dontShowVersion indicates if the LBB will return a message with the =
version
; number. When a browser tries to access an LBB without any arguments
; (e.g. http://localhost/Scripts/ISAPI.dll), the LBB returns with a =
message
; indicating that it is functioning. If the value of dontShowVersion is =
true,
; then this message will not include the version number for the LBB. If =
the
; value of dontShowVersion is false, then this message will include the =
; version number for the LBB.
; The default value is false.
; LBBs : Apache, Generic Extension, IIS, Netscape
;dontShowVersion=3Dtrue
; env indicates the full path to the file containing list of extra =
headers to
; be passed by Web server.
; LBBs : IIS, Netscape
env=3DF:\Tes\config\env.ini
; errorContentType indicates the content type of all of the error pages =
; returned from the LBB. The content type can be a text or binary type =
; and must be the same as the content type of all of the error page LBB =
; flags. This value will be written in the HTTP Content-type header =
when
; the LBB encounters an error.
; The default value is text/html.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;errorContentType=3Dtext/wml
; failInterval indicates the amount of time, in seconds, that the LBB =
will
; wait before it tries to contact a host that is no longer responding.
; The default is 1800 seconds (30 minutes.)
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;failInterval=3D1800
; file indicates the full path to apserver.txt. apserver.txt is the =
file
; which contains the configuration for the applications that the LBB =
load
; balances.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;file=3Dd:\sapphire\config\apserver.txt
; findRetry indicates the number of times that the LBB will try to find =
an
; available application server to service a request after a request =
failed
; to be executed by a UBS.
; The default is 5.
; LBBs : IIS, Netscape
;findRetry=3D5
; instFailInterval indicates the amount of time, in seconds, that the =
LBB
; will wait before it tries to contact an aplication instance that is =
no
; longer responding. If all instances are not responding then this =
value
; is ignored and the LBB will ping the instances at random until they =
respond.
; The default is 60 seconds.
; LBBs : Generic Extension, IIS, Netscape
;instFailInterval=3D60
; java indicates the full path to sajava.ini, the UBS main =
configuration file.
; The default is $SAPPHIRE/config/sajava.ini. Note that if your site =
is using
; Bluestone Application Manager, then this property is ignored.
; LBBs : Apache, Netscape
;java=3Dd:\sapphire\config\sajava.ini
; licFile indicates the full path to the UBS license file.
; The default is $SAPPHIRE/sapphire.lic.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;licFile=3Dd:\sapphire\sapphire.lic.
; licLogFile indicates the full path to the UBS license log file. If =
this
; property is not set for NSAPI then interactions are not logged. If =
this
; property is not set for ISAPI then the default is =
$SAPPHIRE/sapphireLic.log.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;licLogFile=3Dd:\sapphire\sapphireLic.log
; longTimeout indicates the number of milliseconds to time out on =
operations
; that depend on load or the application response time. This time out =
value
; is used during these operations:
; - LBB waiting for initial response from application server after =
connecting.
; - LBB waiting for headers from application server after sending =
environment and post data.
; - LBB waiting for data to send directly back to browser after headers =
are sent.
; The default is 300000 milliseconds.
; LBBs : IIS, Netscape
;longTimeout=3D300000
; noDataReturned indicates the html page and error code that will be =
sent to
; the client when the LBB encounters an error after it receives a =
request from
; the client, sends the request to the application server and does not =
receive
; data from the application server. The LBB does not know if the =
request was
; successfully processed by the application server or not and thus the =
status
; of the transaction is unknown. The default value is Bluestone's =
generic
; error message.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;noDataReturned=3Dd:\sapphire\errors\nodata.html, 500
; noPathInfo indicates the html page and error code that will be sent =
to the
; client if the request does not contain any PATH_INFO. This error =
typically
; occurs if the client uses a URL that just specifies the LBB being =
used.
; For example the URL http://localhost/default.sph going to an Apache =
or=20
; Netscape would result in the noPathInfo error. The default value is=20
; Bluestone's generic error message.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;noPathInfo=3Dd:\sapphire\errors\nopathinfo.html, 200
; optimizeShutdown...When an application is removed from the list of
; applications that the LBB load balances (i.e. the application is =
removed
; from apserver.txt) the LBB may send a message to the UBS in which =
that
; application is running informing the UBS to shutdown. If =
optimizeShutdown
; is set to true, then the LBB will send a message to the UBS telling =
it to
; shut down only if the application that was removed is the only =
application
; configured to run in that UBS. If optimizeShutdown is false, then =
the LBB
; will send a message to the UBS telling it to shut down regardless of =
whether
; or not there are other applications configured to run in that UBS. =
Note
; that the UBS will not shut down until all of its requests have been=20
; processed.
; The default value is true.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;optimizeShutdown=3Dfalse
; PingLaunchedDelay indicates the number of seconds that the LBB will =
wait
; after it launches an application and before it pings the application =
to
; make sure it is alive.
; The default is 1 second.
; LBBs : Apache, Apache, IIS, Netscape
;PingLaunchedDelay=3D1
; postData indicates the html page and error code that will be sent to =
the
; client when the LBB encounters an error while reading post data from =
the
; client.
; The default value is Bluestone's generic error message.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;postData=3Dd:\sapphire\errors\postData.html, 500
; postDataBlockSize indicates the size of the data blocks when reading =
post
; data from the browser and sending it to the UBS.
; The default is (1024 * 8) 8K.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;postDataBlockSize=3D8
; qosCheck indicates how Internet Quality of Service (IQS) will be
; implemented. A qosCheck value of 0 (default) indicates that IQS is
; disabled. A qosCheck value of 1 indicates that requests will be sent =
to a
; UBS with a matching IQS (e.g. if a user has an IQS of 2, that user's=20
; requests will only be sent to a UBS with an IQS of 2.) A qosCheck =
value
; of 2 indicates that requests will be sent to a UBS with at most a =
matching
; IQS (e.g. if a user has an IQS of 2, that user's requests could be =
sent to a
; machine with an IQS of 2, 1, or 0.) The requests will be sent to the =
; least-busy UBS that fits this criterion. The requests are no more =
likely to
; be sent to a machine with an IQS of 2 than a machine with an IQS of =
0.
; The default is 0.
; LBBs : Apache, Generic Extension, IIS, Netscape
;qosCheck=3D0
; randomOrder determines if a random order algorithm is used for load=20
; balancing. true indicates that a random order algorithm will be used =
to
; load balance. false indicates that a random order algorithm will not =
be
; used and that the load will be balanced using a round robin algorithm =
based
; on the order that the applications are defined in the application=20
; configuration file, apserver.txt.
; The default is true.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;randomOrder=3Dfalse
; readDataBlockSize indicates the size of the data blocks when reading=20
; data from the application server and sending it to the browser.
; The default is 1024.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;readDataBlockSize=3D8
; refreshSleepTime indicates the time, in seconds that the LBB will =
wait after
; it detects changes in apserver.txt before it reads in the changes.
; The default is 1 second.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;refreshSleepTime=3D1
; retryOnNoData indicates if the LBB should retry a request if it has
; successfully sent a request to an application, but the application=20
; returned no data in its response. If an application just returns a=20
; header with no data it will not be retried. An application returning
; no data is usually due to a bug causing the application to crash or=20
; return abnormally. POST requests cannot retry because the POST data =
is
; read from the browser then sent directly to the application. The =
number
; of retries is determined by the parameter findRetry. A value of true =
; indicates that the LBB will retry. A value of false inidicates that =
the
; LBB will not retry.
; The default is false.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;retryOnNoData=3Dtrue
; serverNotFound indicates the html page and error code that will be =
sent to
; the client if the LBB could not find an application server that =
matches the
; URL specified by the user. Technically if the PATH_INFO (or at least =
the
; first part of it) does not match any entry in the application =
properties=20
; file (apserver.txt) this error will be displayed. The default value =
is=20
; Bluestone's generic error message.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;serverNotFound=3Dd:\sapphire\errors\serverNotFound.html, 404
; shortTimeout iindicates the number of milliseconds to time out on=20
; operations that are supposed to be fast. Time out means to give up on
; network operations. This time out value is used during these =
operations:=20
; - LBB sending a request to saappman to launch an application
; - LBB waiting for response from saappman after launch request
; - LBB sending a shutdown request to application server
; - LBB sending a ping request to application server (only if slowPing =
is set
; to true)
; - LBB waiting for ping response (only if slowPing is set to true)
; - LBB sending configuration file (sajava.ini) to application server
; - LBB waiting for response after sending config file to application =
server
; - LBB sending post data to application server (this is performed with =
a data
; block size defined by postDataBlockSize)
; - LBB sending environment variables from Web server to application =
server
; The default is 20000 milliseconds.
; LBBs : IIS, Netscape
;shortTimeout=3Dfalse
; shutdownOnRefresh works in conjunction with optimizeShutdown =
indicating if
; a UBS should be shutdown if there is a change in apserver.txt. If=20
; shutdownOnRefresh is 0 then the UBS will not be shutdown if there is =
a=20
; change to apserver.txt. If shutdownOnRefresh is 1 then the UBS will =
be
; shutdown according to the rules defined by the property =
optimizeShutdown.
; The default value is 0.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;shutdownOnRefresh=3D1
; slowPing indicates if the LBB should wait for a response after it=20
; connects to a UBS. true indicates that the LBB will wait for a=20
; response from the UBS. false indicates that the LBB will not wait
; for a response and assumes that the UBS is running with no problems
; which may not give an accurate account of the UBS state. =20
; The default is false.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;slowPing=3Dtrue
; verifyLaunchAttempts indicates the number of times the LBB will try =
to
; ping a UBS after requesting the DAL launch the UBS. Once the LBB =
has
; pinged the instance the required number of times without success, it
; will report an error.
; The default value is 20.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;verifyLaunchAttempts=3D20
; verifyLaunchDelay indicates the number of milliseconds that the LBB =
should
; pause between each attempt to contact a newly launched instance.
; The default value is one millisecond.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;verifyLaunchDelay=3D1
; verifyLaunchTimeout indicates the number of seconds that the LBB will
; attempt to contact a newly launched UBS before reporting an error.
; The default value is 20 seconds.
; LBBs : Apache, IIS, Netscape
;verifyLaunchTimeout=3D20
