Were you really planning on keeping the archives for more than a year or two,
three?  Do you even have the SPACE?  (We end up with perhaps six months' worth
on our list, then have to delete the earlier one(s) to keep our list from being
held for lack of disk space.)  If you decide to keep only, say, one year's
worth of archives, that should more or less take care of the problem, wouldn't
it?
