I've been using a little known email called MyWay for many many years.
It's never been hacked, and gets an extremely small amount of spam.
Very happy with it.
I just recently created a gMail account for a work project, and with all
due respect
I think it is awful.    Doesn't seem like something you would expect from
Google IMHO.

On lists that I operate, I've seen more Yahoo mail user accounts
compromised than any other.
Frequently we set yahoo.com subscribers to REVIEW.  Generally, we (my
co-owners) suggest Gmail.  I've
experienced very few problems with that system (other than what has been
documented on-list about
"missing" messages sent by poster).

I also recommend it to those folks who use ISP email addresses.  They can
migrate to it
e.g.,[log in to unmask] while weaning themselves (others) of the old address.
Or they can use both
addresses with some services.

[Why would I recommend that? Don't ask, just do and experience it. :-) ]
