Mine was in a similar condition.  I haven't yet rerun the NODESGEN
(call me chicken :-) but I did run into a problem after I killed it.
(This is my theory)  The PEERS DISTSUM file was no longer on LISTSERV's
191, and everytime a message would come through for distribution, LISTSERV
would report a REXX 'invalid whole number' error from LSVDIST2.  Got the
PEERS DISTSUM file back from backups and LISTSERv seems to be happy, but
I'm still leery to do a NODESGEN.
