It appears our list.a file is missing. Is it required? If so, what
does
it contain? How can I rebuild it? I put an empty one in and it still
does not let me import names as it gives me the following error:

> ok
Confirming:
> add test70 dd=x
DDname "X" not found in job stream.

After I sent it the following import message:

add test70 dd=x
//x dd *
