When I've seen that sort of response, it turned out to be the asterisk character used in the addresses of the probe e-mails. Some filters reject that for some reason.

Without seeing the entire header, esp. the sender info, it would be guesswork to troubleshoot this issue, but it looks like something is wrong in the sender portion of the emails.
