An interesting side point arises in that Bitnet offically has *one* ARPA
gateway; given that there exist at least six gates to ARPA, why don't
the network powers seek additional routings?  Of course, this requires
progress on Bitnet moving to a domain naming scheme and getting the Arpa
admin (read:  U.S.  Government, the same people who bring you Snail
Mail) to use those domains for Arpa routing to Bitnet.
