Every once in a while someone sends mail to a JHVUM Listserv list and
includes a "From:" header line that contains a quoted string spanning
a line. Some piece of software somewhere at Harvard mis-handles such
mail headers and sends the mangled files back to [log in to unmask] I've
sent information on this problem to the "postmaster" address at several
Harvard sites, but have never received a reply and the software is still
broken. This has been going on for many months if not years, and I'm
petitioning you all in the hopes that someone has a contact at Harvard
that can help. Anyone that will do more than simply discard e-mail
would be an improvement. I'd also like to find out if anyone else is
having the same problem, so I have included a sample. The mail header
as created on JHUVM contained a From: line that looked like:

 From: "Ecoloical Linguistics,Anderson,
               PRT" <[log in to unmask]>

Some code at Harvard is discarding the first line and then claiming that
the mail is undeliverable. I'm really getting tired of being ignored
every time I report this problem. Any help anyone can provide in
contacting someone that cares about e-mail at Harvard would be greatly
 appreciated.
