Who said? The MUSIC/SP community has been sending mail to and from nodes
which were not real for a good long time.  These imaginary nodes have
appeared in RSCS tables al over the country.  Somewhere they have to be
in RSCS v1 tables who have no way of knowing if node X is real or alias.
Talk to the people at McGill.
