While it won't solve the problem, setting your SMTP to NOMAIL is always a
good thing to do. There is no reason to let your mailer deliver mail to
SMTP when all SMTP will do is reply with that kind of error message.
The problem is that your SMTP somehow decided to send mail to
[log in to unmask] SMTP shouldn't send mail to anyone unless it is a
delivery error, and LISTSERV definitely knows how to trap FAL delivery
errors. Besides, delivery errors wouldn't start with "LISTSERV*".
Something else must be wrong - maybe SMTP isn't configured to always go
through its mailer for RSCS addresses.
