In fact, I am one of those users myself. I have been subscribed to many lists, and the subjecthdr option is great for keeping them apart. I try to use inbox rules whenever possible to categorize messages based on sender/recipient, but in some cases this doesn't work. Filtering on the subject line is the next best thing.

I don't care about the six spaces at the beginning of the line. I do care about the extra spaces that occur halfway the subject line when the subject is too long to fit on one RFC822 header line. It creates 'new' subjects and by doing that it spoils threads in the archives.
