Good point, also since the email address needs to be the first field the
select * may not have produced the desired results.  I also hope that
table doesn't have a few million rows in it since ListServ is going to
create a email for each row whether he likes it or not. (If there's
something in that first column that looks like an email address).

How much data is getting transferred from the database? It may be that
it's telling you exactly the truth (it's processing) and its just that
the database pull is taking a very long time.
