How come not every listserv has the same lists?

  Excuse me, but I was wondering how come not every Listserv has the
same lists when you do a list global command ? I thought they should all
be uniform? Is this not the case ? And our list global here has only the
list up to Oct. 31, 1991. Is there a Listserv that puts out the "correct
list?
