Ben, in this case the 10 minute hold was placed in mid April. The files were discovered in early July. This has happened to me multiple times. Something causes listserv to lose or continuously reset the 10 minute timeout. I do not think this is normal listserv behavior. I fully understand the 10 minute delay and do not have an issue with that. Its when ListServ loses track and never delivers the message.

Remember, you may only be blamed for something if you are actually doing something.

Is the list set to Send= Public ? A better choice might be Send= Private so that msgs from non-subscribers are rejected immediately. Then the msgs won't hang around as .JOBH files. If you really need to allow Send= Public for some reason, then try

Send= Public,Confirm,non-member

This will allow subscriber msgs to be posted immediately, msgs from non-subscribers, must first be self-confirmed, if they are legitimate. If not legitimate then they are spam which will never be confirmed and will be discarded after a few days. In either case the msg will be in the ~\MAIN directory as a LISTNAME.OKxxxxx file awaiting the OK/confirmation, not sitting in the ~\SPOOL awaiting the temp hold

Not lost at all. The 10 minute spam-check temp hold is a documented feature.

In other words, LISTSERV is working normally.
