No, other that the limitations in the file system.  Typically you will keep
monthly archives, so all messages for one month's traffic are stored in one
file.  The oldest list for which we keep archives (LSTSRV-L) with archives going
back to 1991 only has several hundred files.  With a file system limit of 32,000
files you will run out of disk space long before you run out of file numbers.
