Cheat:
 
1) set yourself to DIGEST then to MAIL, then decide how
   big a message to send to list to FORCE that size limited
   digest to prematurely be released to the net. OR ...
 
2) Q list with MAIL DIGEST FOR *@*
 
   Edit results, then QUIET SET listname MAIL for each of those
   users to force (then remember to set them back to DIGEST
   when they are moved)
