The LISTMAST MEMO says the following about the SUBSCRIBE command:

> The SUBscribe command is LISTSERV's basic command, issued by users to

> required if the user has previously signed up to lists on the same

What I miss here is an exact description about how the command
behaves if the full_name is omitted and the user is NOT in the SIGNUP
database.  I noticed in my logfile that sometimes users are
subscribed regardless of a missing full_name/SIGNUP-record and
sometimes not.  Does it look for RFC822 phrases in front of route-
addrs as follows?

To: My Name <[log in to unmask]>
Parser: To ":" phrase route-addr

Does it look for comments after addr-specs?

To: [log in to unmask] (My Name)
Parser: To ":" route-addr comment

Or does it even look in other headers?

I'd like to have an imagination about how safely I can say 'Use the
command SUBSCRIBE LIST-L to join the list' on my web page (That's
also what the CATALIST service says).
