I agree with this position.  We use the Scope option and have quotas set
for some mailing lists. How List Owners stay within their quota is up to
them.  Currently we use a web form that allows List Owners to select
monthly or weekly archive files to delete, but it would be nice to have
such a facility built into the web interface; if not for single messages
within an archive, at least for those files that Listserv currently
archives by (single, monthly, weekly).
