I see this all the time from Notes servers. If the message is being
truthful and accurate, then a possibility may be that the user is configured
as an internal user address that does not accept messages from the Internet.
We used to have GroupWise and you could configure a user's "visibility" to
be None, Post Office (server), Domain, or System. If the user's visibility
was not set to System, then the user would not be able to receive email from
the Internet. Notes may have a similar user config option.

This is a valid address. arnoldmpgusa.com is a notes mail server. Where
the ListServ is on an exchange mail server. I tried subscribing for her
from my machine (which is communicates properly with the List Serv) and I
get the same error. Any other ideas?

Steve

Have her subscribe from a system that actually works, or get the
postmaster
at arnoldmpgusa.com to fix their server, or subscribe using a correct
address
(it's possible that address has a typo in it - I continually see people
try
to subscribe as [log in to unmask] ;)

This sort of foolishness is why the ',confirm' option exists.

(Incidentally, don't bother trying to do an 'add' as a list owner for
that
address, all that will do is bounce all the postings from the list).
