First, please note the sent date vs. the received date - where did everythinh
get held up?
 
Anyhow, Eric, of course this would not solve the problem with the Multics.
But, at least we could be making an attempt to better correct the situation
such that someone might consider changing the Multics MAILER to be a
tad more intelligent. Should the inability of some or even a lot of
MTAs prevent us from bettering our operating environment?

     with LISTSERV, should not be discussed here - then please say so.
     There is no reason to move discussions around if it is not necessary.
