A month without a DMSFREE crash on SP4 is a miracle (with no reboot, that
is). I strongly suspect GLOBALV of  being the one that fragments storage;
COPYFILE  is definitely  the  one  that produces  the  ABEND (instead  of
nonzero return code) when the machine runs out of storage, which has been
(eventually) fixed in SP5.
