I found the answer to my own problem. TARLETON has been attempting to
bringup/use a new internet connection and is apparently not yet registered at
the NIC.
 
The cure is ----- Edit the XMAILER names file to add an alias for TARLETON.EDU
for TARLETON and rebuilt the MAILER profile. I received a note from J. Laird
at TARLETON explaining what they were attempting to do. Hopefully this will
abate during the next update cycle.
