First, verify/set a personal password by e-mailing
the LISTSERV@host
 
PW ADD zzzzzzzz
 
If you are able to set that, then you did NOT have a personal
password (at your current userid@node).  Now use THAT
password when you do the PUT.
 
If you are not able to do the above PW ADD, you'll most
likely require listserv-maintainer assistance.  If you
can't remember who that is, then e-mail the generic
OWNER-LISTSERV@host
