Bill,

An owner-'listname' address is NOT an alias to mail the list owner.

The owner-'listname' address is used in the Return-Path: of a list message,
probably to control bounces. If you were to mail it, you'd get an error
message back and a copy is forwarded to the postmaster, which in your case
is [log in to unmask]

The mail system that generated the delivery error sent it back to the
return path.
