A second LISTSERV as a (local) fileserver

I'm considering setting up a local fileserver based on LISTSERV.
I think  this has  been done  already at  some sites.  I would  appreciate any
comments/experiences/help  on that  namely  how to  prevent  it accessing  the
network, linking LISTSERVs 191 and such ...
