I assume some jmu.edu users will remain so you
probably can't just do a global change command
(e.g., change * *@jmu.edu *@dukes.jmu.edu or quiet change...).
In the past we've done this because we did have a list
of the userids being changed. We just used some scripts to
generate change commands for each user and then I'd batch
them up into batch jobs like
ok begin
quiet change * [log in to unmask][log in to unmask]
quiet change * [log in to unmask][log in to unmask]
... etc. ...
ok end
but it's been a long time since I've done this and I don't
recall how large the batches were, if I submitted them via
e-mail or the online command interface (lcmdx), and exactly
how the passwords were handled. As I recall, using the ok begin/
ok end helps consolidate the permissions.
