Not bad for a VM jockey: as you are precisely correct. :-)
 
I've used both batch jobs with SYSOUT routing and /*XMIT from a "dumb"
MVS/SP system with JES2/NJE to route stuff to a VM account.  Note that
whereas /*XMIT hits the JES2 input processor and immediately is requeued
for the outgoing link, IEBGEBER is several orders of magnitude slower
because of the extra processing required on the parts of both MVS and
JES2 itself.   (Moving from one queue to another is peanuts compared to
the firing up of *any* batch job, even IEFBR14.)
