The Revised LISTSERV Distribution List <LSTSRV-L@DEARN> |

The LIST files contain data in columns 81- that should not be altered. At
present there is no hex (ie binary, nonprintable) data in it, but there
are characters whose case should NOT be altered.
On the LSVSORT issue: the list MUST be sorted after a new subscriber is
added, otherwise you may have distribution problems. Putting the names of
all the recipients in the SIGNUP file is not mandatory however. But then
it gets done for ADD and SUBSCRIBE, so it is only logical to do it for a
PUT. However this is not done for an ADD, and it shouldn't be done for a
SUBSCRIBE either. However, a quick look at the code showed that I forgot
to put the NOSIGNUP option on the LSVSORT call in LSVSUBSC. It definitely
ought to be there. Just append the string ') NOSIGNUP' to the LSVSORT
call in LSVSUBSC and it will fix your problem.
