The files are propagated in the format you send them, ie the format used
by LISTSERV is the one *you* used. If you don't want to use NETDATA, just
don't use SENDFILE but PUNCH (or whatever you prefer to use). Of course,
if the Un*x nodes in question are on BITNET and don't understand NETDATA,
it's basically their problem; they can't reasonably expect the whole
network to adapt to them, rather than the other way around. If they are
behind a mail gateway, it's another matter of course.
