I'm sorry, I can't do anything  about that. This restriction is of course
totally ridiculous, but IBM doesn't see  any problem there. The stuff you
define in LOCAL  SYSVARS et al has to go  into GLOBALV variables, because
that's where  20k+ lines  of code expect  it, not to  mention a  bunch of
local  extensions/modifications. You  could  make a  local  mod for  this
particular variable  of course, but  potentially just about  any variable
could exceed the limit.
