Recently, I have noticed an undesirable change in DISTRIBUTE behavior on
my limited number of mailing lists, probably due to a recent update to 1.8a
by our "upwind" [log in to unmask] Previously, Internet recipients were being
served directly by our SMTP; now they seem to be included in the distribute
job forwarded to UTKVM1. Most of them end up being sent out via UGA, which
rewrites the addresses with the "[log in to unmask]" format.
While I don't mind "distributing" the Internet distribution load, I am a bit
concerned that the reply addresses are being reverted to the Bitnet domain
and thus delaying overall turnaround on the list. Is there any way I can
preserve direct Internet addresses in the mail headers (doubtful since that
is UGA's behavior) or else force direct Internet delivery to be local?
