I have scoured the books on Indexing and came to understand that indexing is
"not available unless the list is archived and digests are enabled."
Here is the config of my test list: ListServ-L
* ListServ Administration List
*
* Review= Public Subscription= Open Send=public
* Notify= Yes Reply-to= List,Ignore Files= No
* Validate= No
* Notebook= Yes,/home/listserv/home
* Digest= yes,same,daily,14:00
* Default-options= MAIL, SHORTHDR, REPRO, ACK
*
* Owner= [log in to unmask]
* Editor= [log in to unmask]
*
* This list helps ListServ administrators with questions
* and is an open forum for information sharing.
I try to change my test user account to:
set listserv-l index for [log in to unmask]
and ListServ replies:
Invalid subscription option - "INDEX". No action taken.
But if I get listserv-l notebook or set listserv-l digest for harri..@...
Then it works! What huge piece of the puzzle am I missing to implement
the index part of digest instead of the whole digest?
......help? :-(
