Hi,
It appears that my mail client does not support the Resent- headers
and I have a strong need to repost edited copies of messages sent
to the list. Of course I could be wrong about this, too :-^
I've read the docs thoroughly and tried several approaches on a test
list using a variety of mail clients. I'd really like to be able to make these
postings look like they're coming from the original sender -- nothing
nefarious here, just simple edits for typos and formatting mostly.
I notice that the 1.8c documentation refers to an editor-header that
appears quite different in my 1.8d messages where a message ID
is encased in parentheses. This is obviously an adjunct to the OK
mechanism in the Subject: field, but might it also support editing
using mail clients that don't support Resent- headers? If so, how?
TIA,
- p
