Yes, I've read the 1.8c docs thoroughly.  I understand how probes work, I
hope.  I'm also used to the "traditional" renewals with setting the
frequency of renewals and the delays for members to respond before dropping.

Since the probe follows the auto-delete rules for deleting someone, does
the "delay(xx)" have any meaning in a case where you've added    ,probe
???   If not, can/should it be dropped from the statement?

At this point I'm just adding the probe option, since that is what the docs
show as examples.
