Because I wanted a quick resolution I called support, but they had no
quick ideas.
List has 16k subscribers, highly active. I noticed it had validate=no, so
I strongly recommended validate=yes, confirm. Owner tries, and reverts to
no quickly because gets lots of delivery errors (no, not from commands,
real delivery errors to list members). We reconfigure the list so I get
the errors, and try again: same result. Why should validate affect this?
Note that it does not have an auto-delete parameter.
