Hi, Shahrukh,

I appreciated your post on the bilingual list. I don't know of specific
translation software for the UNIX platform. But I recently was cruising
the web looking for a more sophisticated English grammar checker and ran
into several references to translation programs for UNIX. I think some
poking about (I used infoseek) might yield some information - though you
will likely have to wade through some near-misses as well....

I think that your scheme for TOPICS is well developed, and that perhaps
listing it *at the very beginning* of your list welcome message would
help to get users oriented to it. If I were on a similar list offered in
both English and French, I would take the option for all translations, so
that I could check on translation accuracy...

Best,

Sylvie McGee
