As it turns out maelstrom is unavailable because St. Johns' NY-based ISP
has lost connectivity for its customers in the entire region.  They don't
know yet when it will be back up.  The ISP's web page is accessible but
apparently their customers have lost access.  It was a side effect, not a
direct result of the attack, as SJU was accessible through Tuesday
evening.
