Being on the same  node only negates the need for a  password if a SECURE
command input mechanism (like TELL on  VM) is used. When using e-mail you
still need  a password,  unless the list  is set up  not to  require one.
Depending  on  how you've  set  up  the list,  you  may  also be  sent  a
confirmation request.
