Greetings all,
I have a subscriber who wants to allow subscribers
to lists he runs to be able to post through to my list
([log in to unmask]) simply by sending to
"bitnet.PHILOSOP" at his end. His first post came to me from
[log in to unmask] as if it were bounced mail. I
conjectured that this happened because the post came with
"root" as an id in one of the header lines....
--------------------------------------------
[from subscriber's answer to me]:
Dear Nollaig,
Thanks for sending me the error message. I agree, it looks
as if your system is suspicious of the fact that the sender
is [log in to unmask] I am going to play with my outbound
alias file, to see if I can substitute something else for
root. Can you tell me what other names your system blocks,
so I will make sure to avoid them as well?
---------------------------------------------
Does anyone have an answer at her fingertips? York's
listserv is at 1.7e (yeah, yeah, I know....).
TIA
Cheers, N.
