Yes, but you need an ISP that will assign you a static IP address and you need
to make the proper DNS entries.  (If Darwin is hosting your DNS you'd better get
that moved ASAP.)  This is a fundamental requirement for SMTP to work.

A couple of months ago I had a similar problem with my Northpoint DSL connection
(at home) going out on 2 days notice.  Fortunately I had a fallback 128k ISDN
line and a dialup account with a completely different ISP.  I have finally
gotten a Qwest DSL line and just today I switched back to DSL.  (I'm keeping the
ISDN however.)  A couple of years ago I was running LISTSERV/LSMTP on a 33.6
dialup line (again with static IP).  It can be done, if you configure for
limited bandwidth.
