That would be my first guess, the subscriber has set up an auto-forward.
I hate those, a pain to track down.  Every time I do it the subscriber
gets a lecture about such activity, which is a violation of list rules
for all my lists.  They want list mail delivered to a certain address,
they subscribe from that address; no objection to multiple subscriptions,
but definite objection to auto-forwards.
