      I've been moderating a list for almost five years now and I've run
   into a problem which I (and my Postmaster) have been unable to resolve.
   The documentation indicates that LISTSERV 1.8a provides the option for
   list owners to modify or customize the introduction that LISTSERV sends
   to new list subscribers.
 
      I was able to obtain the DEFAULT MAILTPL file and modify it, but I am
   unable to send this file back to LISTSERV successfully.  Has anyone
   dealt with this before and/or can anyone explain how to do this or get
   documentation dealing with this?
 
      I've tried doing a PUT and a LSVPUT.  Thanks in advance for the
   assistance.
