The list that I own takes political positions and then
advocates from those positions.
A software program named eVote allows Quaker-meeting style
consensus formulation. I would like to use this with
LISTSERV.
1. Is it possible to embed software in LISTSERV?
2. At what level should this be done?
The code is available, in a programmer's kit for $800. User
kits cost $80. Voter manuals cost $15. All of this can be
tailored to an individual list's purposes.
I would probably only use the discussion function after an
issue is in the "motion" stage, and mostly use the software
as a fair way to develop consensus and vote.
I am *not* a programmer and understand the general idea and
not the details.
