Thanks, guys, for the helpful suggestions for WebTV.  I've already
implemented some of these ideas (and will probably end up trying all of
them).

Incidentally, I e-mailed the other two WebTV people on my list and asked
if they had been having any problems.  One of them responded that he had
received a probe last week, and then ... silence (the same pattern that
the first subscriber had complained about).  Very strange.
