Just some thoughts ...
But can't some of the explicit postmasters' aka listserv maintainers'
addresses be hidden (quiet)?
Could this customer be provided a patch to replace the RELEASE command
with some other 7-a/n string?
Finally, the machine that runs LISTSERV need not be directly attached to
THEE Internet, but could sent a receive mail through firewalls / gateways
e.g., mail to mail.house.gov has six MX hosts, none of which is mai.house.gov
