I have always urged subscribers to my lists to post references to
copyrighted materials rather than to post the materials themselves...
Not only does this avoid the copyright issue, but it doesn't waste
bandwidth by sending the material out to people who may not want it.
Those who are interested can go to the library and look it up.
 
In the case of a mailing list posting, you can always post a reference
to the mailing list and the archive file and how to get a copy of it,
e.g., with one of Pete's LDBASE-ettes or something to ease the way.  :)
