That command format only works for ADD and, in version 1.8d, for
DELETE. Not for SET.

You can easily do:

quiet set test subj for *@* pw=yourpassword

if you want to set everyone on the list to subj. Otherwise, if there are
only selected addresses you want to change, you have to have a
separate set command for each.
